🗣️🤳 OpenAI – Advanced Voice Mode Impresses Early Testers
Currently, in limited alpha testing, we are beginning to get glimpses of what OpenAI’s Advanced Voice Mode (AVM) will deliver. Effectively, it puts the chat in ChatGPT, allowing you to have natural spoken conversations with the bot. TechCrunch’s Maxwell Zeff calls it “the most convincing taste I’ve had of an AI future yet.”, leaning into Sam Altman’s wider vision of AI agents changing the way we use smartphones and computers – more voice controls, more automation, more device autonomy, and fewer fingers and thumbs. We can’t wait to try it out, and see how it compares to Google’s recently announced Gemini Live (though we’ll need a new Pixel 9 in the short term).
