📱🏝️ TikTok – New “Go” Feature Moves It Into Super App Territory

Everyone wants to be a super app – Uber is doing it, X keeps saying it will do it soon, and even Disney (see our other stories below) has designs on it. TikTok’s new (US) owners seem to feel the same. They’ve launched TikTok Go, a feature that allows you to use the platform as a booking service for hotels, attractions, and other experiences. The booking system isn’t just static, either; it is based on the videos you are watching, so you’re able to book based on what your favorite influencer is showing you. It has been made possible by multiple partnerships, including Booking.com, Expedia, Trips.com, and more. This is not TikTok’s first attempt at becoming more than just a social scroller – TikTok Shop already exists for eCommerce – but now goes well beyond merch, being directly integrated with creators’ content. 📲 App of the Week: Waddle

It’s been a while since we recommended a Vision Pro app, but Waddle has been catching the eye in what is, admittedly, a difficult marketplace for Apple. Waddle is a kind of Google Maps Street View reimagined for the Vision Pro: Type an address, such as 5 Avenue Anatole France, 75007 Paris, France 🗼, and you are transported there, albeit virtually. Now, there is a stipulation to be aware of, as this app still has a few teething issues and could ‘flow’ a little better to sell the idea you are truly somewhere else, but we agree with one reviewer, who claimed the idea was exciting and that it was a “good start”. 📈📉 Airbnb – Platform Leans on AI for Customer Service & Code

Airbnb claims that 60% of the new code written across Q1 2026 was created by AI. As part of its earnings call, CEO Brian Chesky spoke passionately about how AI was permeating the business, including on the property-lettings side, as AI provides integration solutions with property owners who may manage those properties using different software platforms. And another tidbit – Up to 40% of customer queries are now handled using AI without the need to escalate to a human customer service operator.
