This is the first newsletter in our new monthly series, “Meanwhile at 3Advance”. If you’ve received this email, you’re used to getting our weekly tech-news digest, and at the end of that email we include some of our team news at the end. Now, we’re combining all of these, and adding some color! This month, we had no less than three team get-togethers - two in Washington DC, and one in Chicago. We had some great working sessions, we recorded some team videos, and we celebrated recent launches and new Clutch reviews! Oh, and some of the team even hit up the Guns n Roses concert at Wrigley Field. 🤘

🤗 🙌 Team Meetups from DC to Chicago

In the last few weeks we had two team outings to our Headquarters in DC. Darren visited at the start of the month, and we gave Jingdi her choice of dinner spot. It didn’t disappoint - Ilili in the Wharf was top notch, as you can see! Then just this week Gabe and Jose, the core of our Front-end web team came to DC and we got together at WeWork on Mass Ave. We recorded some videos together, and we demoed some of the fantastic web apps for AARP Foundation and BECO, the incredible, forward-thinking building management company. Finally, a Summer month wouldn’t be complete without some music, so we flew Jason, our Florida-based PM, up to Chicago to see who other, but Guns n Roses. Yes, this one wasn’t for the younger crew but for the 3Advance seniors 🤣 it was a fantastic day out! 🤘

📱🚀 Product Launches: Brightn Wellness Apps

Since January, we’ve been working Brightn, a wellness app geared towards GenZ! Brightn is the brainchild of Jeff Johnston, who, having endured terrible heartaches has dedicated his life to removing the stigma of mental health, and providing solutions to end the crisis facing young people today. We encourage you to check it out, share it with the young people in your life, and if you’re feeling generous, learn about sponsoring access for your local school.

Our review from Valerie Evans, Founder of No Weigh was published on Clutch this month, and we couldn’t be more proud. Valerie has been a pleasure to work with and her app is one to watch. 📰🪦 iFOIA Shuts Down: This month was the end of an era for iFOIA, a free FOIA request service 3Advance developed and launched back in 2013. Introduced by the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press, iFOIA has provided so much value to newsrooms and homes across America these past ten years. We’re proud of iFOIA’s impact and with that comes the bittersweet feeling now that it’s been sunsetted.
